1) Navigate to Projects Menu->Properties->Compile (TAB)->Advanced Compile Options…
2) Changing “Target framework (all configurations):” to .Net Framework 4 from .Net Framework 4 Client Project

I would have never thought to do this and I don’t know why this fixes the issue. Much appreciated :)

Most likely you do not have it installed. Please download it from tigris.org and set path to it in 'Subversion' tab of the remote run dialog.
